Unnamed ‘A-list pop singer’ sues producer for assaulting, drugging her

A world-famous American pop star is suing her producer for allegedly sexually abusing and drugging her in a case that will rock the music industry.

The unnamed A-list singer has filed a legal claim alleging that her unidentified mentor “groomed” her and forced her to have intercourse with him.

US website TMZ reports that the mystery entertainer recorded an album in 2005 when she was just 14 years old and signed to a seven-album deal.

The report claims that the female artist worked with “one of the most beloved, best-known and most valuable companies in the history of the world”.

But things took a dark turn, she claims, when the man who served as her producer, mentor and agent became “very controlling”.

The court papers are said to detail how the mystery mogul told the young girl that they were soulmates and then forced himself on her sexually.

According to the victim, the accused would “rub and fondle her genitals” before performing a sex act on her and then making her do the same.

As well as claiming the pair had vaginal and anal intercourse, the megastar reveals in the legal documents that she was drugged before being raped.

It also transpires that the girl’s mum was manipulated by the record industry figure, who is said to have been charmed her in a bid to groom her daughter.

The leaked legal claim is also said to reveal how the sexual abuse continued for two years until the girl was 16 and took place everywhere from a music video set and LA entertainment venue Staples Center to cars parked on public streets.

The report goes on to state that the unidentified artist — who also claims that her alleged abuser made negative comments about her body and weight — is not only suing the producer, but also others who she claims enabled his crimes.

A guessing game has now ensued as to the identities of those involved as they cannot be publicly named at this stage.

The case has unsettling echoes of the legal case between singer Kesha and her former producer Dr Luke.

The Praying singer claims that Dr Luke — real name Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald, sexually, physically and verbally abused her, as well as drugging her, for a decade.

She also alleged that he frequently disparaged her looks and led her to suffer from an eating disorder.

The 2014 case saw Kesha ask the court for permission to be released from her contract with Dr Luke’s record company but the judge did not rule in her favour.

The ruling prompted outrage among Kesha’s celebrity supporters, including Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande and Lily Allen.

Kesha released the song Praying in 2017 with poignant lyrics about her ordeal. It became a worldwide hit.
