Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl

Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl was a story of con man named Ricky Bahl (Ranveer Singh), who targets ladies by making use of his good looks and charm. After conning a total of 29 women including a clothing designer Saira Rashid (Aditi Sharma), a rich Delhi girl Dimple Chaddha (Parineeti Chopra) and a business executive Raina Parulekar (Dipannita Sharma), Ricky ends up settling in Goa and start his very own business of adventure sports. Raina manages to track down Ricky’s previous victims Dimple and Saira and asks them to join her in teaching Ricky a lesson. They hire a saleswoman named Ishika Desai (Anushka Sharma) in the hopes to get back to the fraud. How they go about their mission forms the crux of the film. While everyone in the Parineeti Chopra movie received a thumbs up for their performances, Parineeti in particular managed to stand out with the portrayal of Dimpy. Her expressions, comic timing and body language was a welcome change in a part which many would consider to be done to death. It was right then when everyone knew she’s someone to watch out for.

Ishaqzaade

Made around the subject of honor killings, Ishaqzaade was a film that gave many big releases of 2012 a run for their money. Ishaqzaade featured debutante Arjun Kapoor in lead along with Parineeti Chopra, who was relatively new as well with just a film under her belt. The film is set in a fictional town of Almore in Northern India. In the town there are two families named Qureshi and Chauhan, who are constantly at war with each other for political power. Zoya (Parineeti Chopra) is the daughter of the Qureshi. Zoya is pampered, zesty and never takes no for an answer. Over the course of time, she meets Param (Arjun Kapoor) of the Chauhan family. The find themselves attracted to each other and decide to elope and marry. After that they realise that life is as easy as they thought it would be. The Parineeti Chopra movie relies heavily on the performance of the leads and they don’t disappoint. The actors portray their characters with extreme confidence and the sizzling chemistry that they share helps the film big time.

Shuddh Desi Romance

Shuddh Desi Romance is a film that revolved around three youngsters who are constantly confused in love. Raghu Ram (Sushant Singh Rajput) is a tour guide in Jaipur. One day, he bumps into an independent and ambitious women named Gayatri (Parineeti Chopra). He falls for her love and proposes for wedding. But, at the wedding day, he develops cold feet and runs away. After some time, the two end up meeting each other again and decide to give their relation a second chance and end up living in together. The two decide to get married but this time, it is Gayatri who ends up running away. Soon after, he meets Tara (Vaani Kapoor) and begins to develop feelings for her. But, as fate would have Gayatri returns to his life again and the two realise that they love each other. However, instead of deciding to take the plunge, Raghu and Gayatri try to take things slow and move in together again. Yes, we’re guessing that you too are a little confused by the events that take place in the film but you’re not alone. The plot was simply too complicated and probably the biggest reason behind the film’s failure at the box-office. Even the the cast put up a decent show, it couldn’t help the Parineeti Chopra movie ring in the cash registers.

Hasee Toh Phasee

Hasee Toh Phasee was a quirky love story starring Sidharth Malhotra, Parineeti Chopra and Adah Sharma. The film starts off with Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra) meeting Karishma (Adah Sharma) at a wedding and falling in love. Eventually, the two of them decide to take the plunge. During their wedding, Meeta (Parineeti Chopra) Karishma’s sister shows up. Meeta is a rebellious girl who constantly goes against her family. So, on Karishma’s request, Nikhil arranges a place to stay for Meeta and looks after her while making sure Karishma’s family doesn’t find out. While the story line of the Parineeti Chopra movie might be fairly predictable, the director’s execution and the performances from the cast make it to be a fun watch. Parineeti in particular earned major props for her work in the film. She had to nail her comic timing for her character for the film to work and she did just that.

Kill Dill

In the this Parineeti Chopra movie, Tutu (Ali Zafar) and Dev (Ranveer Singh) are shown as orphans who’ve grown up together. A local gangster named Bhaiyaji (Govinda) helps raise them and trains them to be local assassins. However, things take a turn when they meet Disha (Parineeti Chopra) and Dev ends up falling for her. Dev decides to change his lifestyle and wants to have a normal job so that he can settle down with Disha. Bhaiyaji ends up finding out about this and obviously is enraged. He decides expose Dev and by revealing his true identity to Disha. In a state of shock, Disha breaks up with him. Tutu and Dev now decide to get back at Bhaiyaji and end up formulating a plan which results in Bhaiyaji’s death through the hands of his arch nemesis Baban Pehlwan. Dev and Disha end up getting married and Tutu is shown to be interviewing for a job in the same insurance company as Dev. While the Shaad Ali directorial starts off on a great note, it fails to keep the viewer’s interest maintained in the story. Despite terrific performances by the cast of the Parineeti Chopra movie, the film in all feels a half baked effort.

Meri Pyaari Bindu

Meri Pyaari Bindu is a story of the forgotten times. A time where love would happen over audio cassettes and even something as simple as letters. It’s a bittersweet love story that always that does bring tears to your eyes but also does not let the smile go off your face. The characters are meant to be just like your next door neighbours and they are presented just like that. The pain and the anguish that they face too is really relatable and we’re sure that everyone’s gone though that phase once in a lifetime. The film revolves around Abhimanyu (Ayushmann Khurrana) and his love for Bindu (Parineeti Chopra). Abhimanyu had fallen over Bindu ever since there childhood days but always ended up in the friend zone as she never saw him as someone more than a friend. Although he never manages to make her feel the same, he takes it in his stride and moves on with his life. Watch this Parineeti Chopra movie to experience a fun nostalgia ride and an adorable story.

Golmaal Again

After a long break from the screen, Parineeti returned with Golmaal Again. The Parineeti Chopra movie was the fourth instalment to the hit franchise directed by Rohit Shetty. While all three previous films went on to have a great run at the box-office, Golmaal Again managed to pull off the highest numbers. The film had a ghost theme and Parineeti Chopra played a spirit who has to take care of some unfinished business. If you’ve watched the previous Golmaal movies, you know that logic isn’t necessarily a priority for the makers. With this film too, we see a bunch of scenes that won’t require to put your thinking hat on but they do serve their purpose. The film ticks all the boxes for a Rohit Shetty film which include lot of colours, lavish sets and some in your face humour. So, if you’re looking for a film in which you just want to be entertained and have a good time, Golmaal Again fits the bill.

Namaste England

Namaste England was a movie aimed at making society realise that how we lack a genuine sense of equality when it comes to genders. While men with ambitions receives plaudits from everybody around, ambitions of women are often taken for granted. In the film, Param (Arjun Kapoor) and Jasmeet (Parineeti Chopra) are shown to fall in love and get married. While Jasmeet is ambitious and wants to make something meaningful of her life, the elders of her family feel the duties of a woman is to give birth to children and looking after them. Jasmeet feels fed up of her so called ‘duties’ and runs away to London, England with an aim to build her career. Param manages to track her down by entering London illegally. However, when he’s about to be arrested for being an undocumented visitor, Jasmeet reveals she’s ready to return to India with him. While Arjun and Parineeti’s pair is pretty popular amongst fans, this one simply failed to recreate the magic of their previous film.

Kesari

Kesari is a film that tells us an incredibly inspiring story of the Battle of Saragarhi. Back in 2006, Zack Snyder made 300, a film which featured 300 brave spartans take on 300,000 Persian soldiers in war. In Kesari, we see 21 Sikh soldiers fight against more than 10,000 Afghans. The film is titled as Kesari based on the colour of the sardar’s turban. Kesari is also a colour that symbolises sacrifice and valour for the Sikh community. The film without a doubt is Akshay Kumar’ show. As apart from the fact that he’s in almost every frame of the film, he delivers a stunning performance. The film is packed with spectacular action sequences which help the film not get into a repetitive feel. Parineeti Chopra plays the character of Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film. Even though she’s left behind during the war, during regular intervals in the film we see Akshay’s character having imaginary conversations. Kesari, as a film, will touch the hearts of every Indian and remind you of a history that was forgotten.

Jabariya Jodi

Abhay Singh (Sidharth Malhotra) runs a business in Bihar of kidnapping greedy grooms, who ask for dowry. Once kidnapped, he forces them to marry the same girl but without the dowry. Everything seems to be going fine until Abhay’s childhood sweetheart Babli (Parineeti Chopra) enters his life and he finds himself in a dilemma. Even though the duo share decent chemistry, like we witnessed previously in Hasee Too Phasee, the film falls flat simply because the a half baked script. Sprinkled with few moments of fun Jabariya Jodi felt like a drag overall and the box-office figures of the Parineeti Chopra movie tell the same story.
