Buffalo Bills midseason awards

The Bills will start the second half of their season on Sunday in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns.

The first half is done, the Bills are at 6-2 and have a tougher second half. Are they up to the task? Stay tuned.

But let’s look back one last time at the first half of the season and pass out some awards from the action that was the first half of the 2019 Bills season right here:

WR John Brown

The Bills won the free agency lotto with Brown. The Bills legitimately have not had a consistent weapon outside in a decade and a half, maybe two decades. Brown has defied everything expected of him and continues to make plays, even on days where quarterback Josh Allen isn’t at his best.

So far, Brown is up to 42 catches and 603 yards in eight games played. Translation: He’s on pace for 84 catches and 1,206 yards (and four touchdowns). Brown’s totals are far and away the best on the Bills this season. They’re also among the best in the league. Brown’s receiving totals have him with the 16th-most yards in the NFL this season. That outranks Odell Beckham, D.J. Moore, Austin Hooper, George Kittle, Allen Robinson, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Marvin Jones, just to name a few. Easily Buffalo’s MVP on offense.
